SAP Developer

Roles of this type may sit within a collaborative technical environment, working alongside experienced SAP architects and delivery teams to support the design, development and deployment of solutions built on SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and SAP RISE platforms. The work could involve building APIs and microservices, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to the integration of distributed systems that connect across cloud and on-premise infrastructure. You could have scope to work with modern development practices, including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes, while maintaining compliance with technical standards such as ISO 9001., * Supporting the design and development of SAP applications and extensions across S/4HANA, ECC and RISE environments

• Building and maintaining APIs and microservices to enable system integration and data flow
• Contributing to CI/CD pipeline support, deployment automation and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools such as Terraform
• Writing and optimising code in languages such as .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot and Python to support business logic and system connectivity
• Supporting the development of data pipelines and data quality frameworks to ensure reliable information flow across systems
• Collaborating with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Demonstrable experience in SAP application development, with practical knowledge of at least one SAP platform (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
• Working knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture and RESTful design principles
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling, or experience in deployment and automation support
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• SAP Certified Professional qualification or equivalent SAP development certification

Nice-to-have

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of React or frontend frameworks for user-facing SAP applications
• Exposure to BPMN, UML or process modelling
• Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting
• Experience with Power BI or data visualisation tools
• Understanding of CSDR, QMS or regulated system environments
