Day in the Life As our Manufacturing Quality Systems Engineer, you’ll move seamlessly from the lab to the line to the customer call-owning the systems that keep product quality world-class.

  • Start your morning reviewing SPC dashboards and quality metrics, surfacing trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Head to the floor to validate inspection methods, sampling plans, and gauge programs-supporting CTE and Bytewise laser measurement systems.
  • Lead a quick stand-up with production and Associate Quality Engineers to align on CAPA priorities and DPPM/scrap reduction goals.
  • Facilitate a root cause analysis on a recent defect, documenting corrective and preventive actions.
  • Wrap the day approving customer quality documentation and preparing for an upcoming audit.

What You’ll Drive

  • Design, implement, and evaluate quality processes, inspection methods, sampling plans, and statistical techniques.
  • Build, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS): policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Lead investigations of nonconformances, execute root cause analysis, and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Analyze quality performance data and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer and supplier quality programs, including PPAPs, Control Plans, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), and New Product Introductions (NPIs).
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Participate in internal and external audits to sustain compliance and readiness.
  • Own and support measurement systems, including CTE and Bytewise laser technologies.
  • Contribute to Material Review Board (MRB) activities and initiatives to reduce scrap and DPPM.
  • Coach and mentor Associate Quality Engineers and manufacturing personnel.
  • Approve customer quality documentation and ensure adherence to company and customer requirements.
  • Champion compliance with the company’s QMS throughout operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • Deep knowledge of QMS principles and application.
  • Hands-on experience with SPC and quality metrics.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proven capability in root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills., * Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or willingness to obtain within two years.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systems.
