Benefits & conditions

Introduction

\n

We co-founded and led Viafintech (Barzahlen) to 100+ FTE , one of the most successful German fintechs, active in 17 markets across the EU and USA, and sold it in 2021 for a € three-digit million amount to NYSE-listed Paysafe Group. \n

Now we’re off to our next venture. This time we’re building a global champion for prepaid products: gift cards (Apple, Amazon, Google), airtime and eCash all in one simple API. Think of finperks as a stripe/adyen for all prepaid products and payments. \n

We started in summer 2025 and in just a few months we have already onboarded 700+ brands, and our first client goes live by the end of the year. \n

Many people completely underestimate the market size: about €600bn sold per year today, going to €1.8tn by 2028. \n

Instead of 5 players in the chain (brand * issuing tech provider * global distributor * local distributor * client), we connect brands directly with clients via the finperks platform. Today 95% of prepaid is still sold in the Global North; we believe that for the gig economy to monetize the Global South, prepaid will be key - from Netflix and Google to Apple and Uber. \n

We’re a team of 8 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. A mix of our best people from the last journey and brilliant new joiners. High ownership. Low ego. Kind humans. We ship fast, help each other, and celebrate wins. \n

Join early. Help build the global champion for prepaid. \n

Your tasks

\n

Tasks

\n

As our Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll own the foundation that powers finperks as we scale from our first clients to processing millions of transactions. \n

You will: \n \n

  • Design, build, and maintain our AWS infrastructure to support high-availability, low-latency API services across multiple regions\n
  • Manage and optimize our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring seamless deployments and efficient resource utilization\n
  • Enable our engineering team to ship fast with confidence #CI/CD\n
  • Implement and maintain our ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system reliability and quick incident response\n
  • Ensure infrastructure security practices, implement access controls, and support compliance requirements for financial services\n
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions that keep our platform fast as we scale\n
  • Automate everything - from infrastructure provisioning to deployment workflows and operational tasks\n

\n, n \n

  • Learn from experienced Engineers: Receive constant feedback while having eye-level discussion\n
  • Ownership from Day One: Shape our infrastructure architecture and technical decisions with real autonomy\n
  • Impact at Scale: Build systems that will process billions in transaction volume as we grow across global markets\n
  • Modern Tech Stack: Work with cutting-edge tools and technologies without legacy constraints\n
  • Competitive Package: Attractive salary\n
  • Berlin Lifestyle: Office in Charlottenburg with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements\n

\n

Ready to build backend systems for the next FinTech Unicorn? \n

We are looking for builders ready for an ambitious journey. Expect tough challenges, plenty feedback, constant change, on-call duty and frequent deployments. In return you’re getting lots of opportunity to grow, the smartest people you have worked with on your team and recognition for doing your best work.\n
