C# Software Engineer

• Build and improve software that talks directly to a wide range of real-world equipment, including power supplies, acquisition systems, cameras, and test hardware
• Develop software for manufacturing automation
• Work across automation, databases, and test and calibration workflows
• Contribute to parallel processing, performance optimisation, and multi-threading improvements
• Explore machine learning and emerging AI where it adds value
• Work on end-to-end systems rather than a narrow slice of software

• Minimum 3+ years of C# development experience
• Experience with WPF or closely related UI frameworks; we are moving to WinUI 3
• Experience interfacing software with hardware or test equipment
• Ability to work with and improve existing codebases
• Desirable: experience with WinUI 3
• Desirable: experience with C/C++ or LabView
• Desirable: experience in manufacturing or production test environments
• Desirable: experience with jigs, fixtures, or tooling
• Desirable: experience with automation, multithreading, or performance optimisation
• Desirable: experience with databases or calibration/test workflows

We are a manufacturing automation team building hands-on software at the heart of serious industrial systems. Our work spans hardware integration, automation, databases, test and calibration workflows, with opportunities to develop skills in parallel processing, performance optimisation, multi-threading, machine learning, and emerging AI where it adds value. This is a technically broad role with real depth and variety. The salary is £45,000 to £60,000 plus benefits.
