Job description
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for installation, repair, maintenance, and support for the technology resources of the organization. This includes PCs, associated hardware, wired and wireless telephones, and related equipment including audio-visual support. Additionally, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for first-call response in terms of general IT issues as they are reported to the HopeWest Service Desk, and for solving routine technical issues, intrinsic technical issues, and answering Service Desk inquiries.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED equivalent, Associate degree from a two-year college or university preferred; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one year of end-user support experience with knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating system and Microsoft Windows applications.
- Some experience supporting Android and iOS Smartphones, tablets, and applications.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license, unlimited access to reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance maintained throughout employment.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Communicates effectively both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations; information systems; computer software and hardware functionality; and information security policies and procedures.
- Customer service skills as related to hardware and software implementation and support.
- Understanding of security issues surrounding applications.
- Maintains a focus on exemplary customer service that leaves both internal and external customers fully satisfied with their experience at HopeWest.
- Utilizes a framework of continuous improvement to achieve excellence in service, regulatory compliance, and optimal organizational performance.
