About the Role

The position focuses on ensuring all hardware and software systems are operational, secure, and up-to-date, providing technical support, and assisting with system installations and configuration. You will work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions accordingly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintaining and monitoring computer systems and networks
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software applications
  • Troubleshooting IT issues and resolving user queries
  • Conducting regular system backups and updates
  • Ensuring network security and data protection protocols are followed
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new employees and their IT needs
  • Collaborating with external vendors for tech support and procurement
  • Documenting IT processes and maintaining inventory of equipment
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on IT-related matters
  • Evaluating new IT technologies for integration within the organisation
  • Assisting in the development of IT budgets and reports
  • Supporting mobile devices and remote access solutions
  • Participating in IT projects and initiatives as required

Requirements

Proven experience in an IT support or administration role

  • Strong understanding of IT systems and networks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to challenges
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Server
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud services and platforms
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting
  • Certification in relevant IT areas (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft)
