Job description

The Software Engineer designs, builds, and optimizes software systems, APIs, and websites that power critical business operations across the organization. In this senior individual-contributor role, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-based applications and integrations, applying strong software engineering practices and modern DevOps principles. Your technical depth, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills will help evolve the company’s digital foundation, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational.

Candidates should have a solid foundation in Agile software engineering practices and enjoy working collaboratively within cross-functional teams. They demonstrate ownership, adaptability, and a willingness to learn while embracing modern software engineering practices., * Develop and optimize SQL Server database objects, queries, and data access patterns.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Write automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standard
  • Support DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Monitor application health using logging, monitoring, and observability tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Develop scalable APIs, web applications, and backend services using modern engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and fellow developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Translate user stories into well-designed, maintainable software solutions.
  • Apply software engineering best practices including clean code, modular design, secure development, and automated testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve code quality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and contribute to system reliability and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to application modernization initiatives and technical debt reduction efforts.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
  • Support application monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge by learning new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering and business teams to deliver high-quality software that provides measurable business value.
