Collaborate with senior BI team members to refine metrics, calculations, and data definitions

Use enterprise data warehouse assets and existing dimensional data models to meet reporting needs

Partner with the Business…

Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into clear analytical requirements

Explain dashboards, metrics, and data limitations in clear, non-technical language

Develop a strong working understanding of key business processes to better anticipate analytics needs

Support & Enablement…

Support and enhance previously delivered BI solutions by responding to user questions, troubleshooting issues, and making incremental improvements

Participate in shared support processes, including triaging questions and escalating complex issues as needed

Contribute to documentation, training materials, and internal knowledge-sharing efforts

Participate in internal analytics or Tableau user groups as an informed contributor

Analytics Best Practices & Growth…

Apply effective data visualization best practices to ensure insights are clear, accurate, and actionable

Assist with data quality checks, metric validation, and basic governance practices under guidance from senior analysts or data teams

Use AI-assisted analytics tools (such as generative AI for SQL drafting, exploration, documentation, or insight summarization) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and learning

Continuously grow technical, analytical, and business skills with the goal of increasing ownership over time

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Management Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence (including relevant academic or professional experience).

1-2 years of experience writing production SQL queries in a relational database environment, with a solid understanding of joins, filters, and aggregations.

Experience developing dashboards or reports using a data visualization platform (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and usability.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating closely with a team.

Clear verbal and written communication skills, especially when explaining data concepts to non-technical audiences.

Bonus/Preferred Qualifications: Tableau Certification(s) or progress toward certification

Exposure to Tableau Server or published enterprise reporting environments

Experience working with enterprise data warehouses or dimensional/star-schema data models

Familiarity with data quality checks, metric validation, or analytics governance practices

Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for analytics or automation

Familiarity with version control or structured analytics development workflows

Exposure to insurance, healthcare, or financial services data is a plus
