Unreal Engine Developer - Synthetic Data / AI

• Develop and improve Unreal Engine 5 applications for synthetic imagery generation.
• Automate object placement, cameras, lighting, weather and image-capture workflows.
• Transform an existing research platform into scalable production software.
• Work with AI and Machine Learning Engineers to optimise synthetic training datasets.
• Improve development, rendering and asset-production workflows.
• Develop intuitive tools that allow users to configure and generate synthetic imagery.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design and product direction.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in West London, working predominantly from the office and customer sites with some remote working available. You will join a collaborative team of Unreal Developers, AI Researchers, Computer Vision Specialists, 3D Artists and Python/C++ Engineers, and help build an automated platform for generating high-quality synthetic datasets. • At least three years of commercial Unreal Engine development experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using Unreal Engine 5.
• Strong C++ and/or C# development skills within Unreal or related real-time applications.
• Professional experience within games, simulation, VFX or virtual production.
• Strong knowledge of Unreal rendering, scene management and automation.
• Experience designing scalable, readable and maintainable production software.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and containerised deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work effectively with Developers, Engineers, Researchers and 3D Artists.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK BPSS and Security Check clearance.
• Existing clearance would be advantageous but is not essential.
• For SC clearance, applicants are normally expected to have lived in the UK for the previous five years.
