Experteer Overview In this on-site IT Engineer role, you support a diverse, 250-person quantum R&D workforce across physics, engineering, and operations. You’ll be the frontline for IT incidents, driving timely resolution while safeguarding production uptime in a high-stakes research environment. You work closely with cross-functional teams to triage, escalate, and communicate clearly under pressure, shaping IT services that enable research and manufacturing. This role offers hands-on problem solving in a unique, fast-paced lab setting with meaningful impact on daily operations. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents via Jira Service Management and manage a ticket queue to meet SLA targets * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and account issues across all departments * Back up and restore systems and data using Acronis or equivalent * Support Windows and macOS endpoints; Ubuntu familiarity is a plus * Process access requests per IT policy; escalate sensitive requests to IT team * Manage IT inventory and stock levels for onboarding and break-fix needs * Provision and deprovision user accounts across Okta, AD, Azure AD, and applications * Plan hardware refresh cycles and track device lifecycle * Manage MFA enrollments and exceptions with proper authorization * Prepare and image laptops/workstations for new hires * Run IT onboarding sessions for day-one productivity * Execute offboarding procedures including device recovery and data preservation * Respond to first-line Fab/Production alerts and escalate appropriately * Support Fab/Production tool owners and external vendors on cross-over IT issues * Manage monthly patches and endpoint management platforms (WSUS, Intune, Jamf) and security baselines Tasks * 3-5 years in IT support or system administration * Strong troubleshooting for Windows and macOS * Experience with WSUS, MDT, AD, Jamf, Intune, OKTA, Google Workspace, and identity management * Familiarity with network troubleshooting (DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs) * Understanding of cybersecurity practices and endpoint protection * Ability to work independently, triage, and resolve issues * Good communication and documentation skills Key requirements * medical, dental and vision * 401(k) plan * equity * paid parental leave * rejuvenation days * vacation policy aligned with regulations
