SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT SME

• Administer and maintain MECM infrastructure and Intune tenant configurations.
• Oversee co-management workloads between MECM and Intune environments.
• Configure and maintain device collections, dynamic groups, and deployment targeting structures.
• Design, develop, and package Win32 and line-of-business applications, including assignment groups and deployment parameters.
• Develop and maintain detection rules, remediation scripts, and installation logic.
• Create MECM and Autopilot task sequences and equivalent Intune Win32 deployment configurations.
• Build silent and non-silent COTS installation packages that comply with IRS CI configuration standards.
• Coordinate pilot testing and phased deployment strategies to minimize operational risk.
• Maintain Cloud Management Gateway configurations and provide Tier III escalation support.
• Perform root cause analysis on failed deployments and implement corrective actions.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Software Deployment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and optimize the deployment of complex software solutions across enterprise environments., * Minimum 7 years of enterprise experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune.

• Advanced application packaging experience, including Win32 and line-of-business applications.
• Demonstrated automation experience - detection rules, remediation scripts, installation logic, and return code validation.
• Large-scale troubleshooting experience across an enterprise endpoint estate.
• Experience administering MECM infrastructure: Site Servers, Management Points, Distribution Points, and Software Update Points.
• Experience managing Intune tenant configuration, device compliance policies, application deployments, and endpoint configurations.
• Experience with co-management workloads between MECM and Intune.
• Troubleshooting experience with Hybrid Join, Azure AD Join, and Mobile Device Management enrollment.
• Ability to produce SOPs, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.

PREFERRED

• Microsoft certifications in endpoint management or Modern Desktop Administration.
• Prior federal or IRS experience.
• Active or recent federal suitability determination.
• PowerShell scripting.

Security and suitability

• Must be able to obtain and maintain an IRS High-Risk Background Investigation.
• Must pass a 7-panel SAMHSA drug screening (marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, 6-acetylmorphine, PCP, methamphetamine). Employer pays testing costs.
• Background investigation must be initiated before starting work. All clearance forms are due within five business days of contract award.
• U.S. citizenship required.
