Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICT professional to lead operational service delivery across a large and varied IT environment while supporting key digital transformation programmes during a significant period of organisational change.

Working in a hybrid environment, you will oversee ICT operations, manage projects, drive service improvements, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across ICT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of ICT services, ensuring excellent service performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage ICT Service Desk, Information Governance, Security and operational support functions.
  • Deliver ICT projects and programmes to agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards.
  • Work closely with ICT managers across infrastructure, development, security and support teams.
  • Deputise for the Head of ICT & Data Security where required.
  • Ensure ICT services comply with governance, policies and best practice.
  • Support cyber security, risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Monitor ICT budgets, procurement activities and contract performance.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Significant experience managing ICT service delivery within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks.
  • Experience delivering ICT projects and service improvements.
  • Previous supplier and contract management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure, cyber security, business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Experience within Local Government or the wider public sector (highly desirable).
  • A degree or equivalent experience within ICT or Information Systems.
  • ITIL Foundation (v3/v4) qualification.
  • PRINCE2, Agile or another recognised project management qualification.
