Job description

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support a federal client in installing, securing, and sustaining a mission-critical task management solution built on Microsoft Power Platform.

This is not a traditional system administrator role. We are looking for an engineer who can manage the full backend of Azure and Power Platform environments, support secure enterprise architecture, and lead complex deployments across federal environments. In this role, you will help stand up and maintain cloud infrastructure, support CAC-enabled authentication, and ensure the solution performs reliably across distributed government operations.

What You’ll Do

As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Lead installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities for a Dynamics/Power Platform-based task management solution
  • Manage the backend architecture of Azure and Power Platform environments, including administration, integration, and operational support
  • Design, configure, and maintain secure authentication solutions, including CAC-enabled authentication, Active Directory Federation Services, Active Directory, and Entra ID
  • Develop and execute client installation and deployment plans in coordination with stakeholders and project teams
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues raised by clients and engineering teams
  • Lead migration of client data and supporting services from on-premises environments to Azure-based cloud environments
  • Support and optimize environments involving Power Apps, Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics, SharePoint, SQL Server, Exchange, Office 365, and load balancing technologies
  • Troubleshoot both routine and complex infrastructure, application, and integration issues across enterprise environments
  • Use PowerShell automation to streamline administration, deployment, and support activities
  • Support web-based .NET applications running in SQL Server environments
  • Review and test new version releases, validate updates, and improve installation and support documentation
  • Contribute technical expertise to product roadmaps and solution planning efforts
  • Assess the organizational and operational impact of technical architecture decisions
  • Manage client expectations regarding solution functionality, deployment processes, and realistic timelines
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams as needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to business, operations, and technical stakeholders on Azure-based solution architecture
