Job description

Experteer Overview Lead Data Engineer role focused on designing and delivering scalable data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure analytics. You will collaborate with architects, AI engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions. The role combines hands-on development, solution architecture, and mentorship to accelerate cloud-native analytics at scale. This position offers influence over data governance, security, and performance while engaging with client teams on transformative data initiatives. Compensation / Benefits * Gather and translate customer requirements into technical data solutions * Design and develop scalable data platform architectures using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory pipelines, Synapse) * Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines * Model high-performance Lakehouse and Warehouse structures (medallion, star/snowflake) * Integrate Azure services (Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL) and Power BI with Fabric * Develop CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and enforce data governance and security * Mentor junior engineers and lead POD delivery * Contribute to accelerators, reusable frameworks, and pre-sales efforts * Support Sales/Pre-Sales with technical thought leadership * Create prototypes and evaluate emerging tools for innovation Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 8+ years in data engineering with 3+ years in Azure ecosystem * Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory in Fabric, Synapse Data Engineering/Data Warehousing, Power BI integration) * Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Spark-based processing * Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines * Expertise in data modeling (star/snowflake, medallion architecture) * Experience with Azure data services: Data Factory/Synapse Pipelines, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL/SQL MI * CI/CD, DevOps practices, and version control * Knowledge of data governance, security, access control (RBAC, IAM, encryption) * Experience with structured, semi-structured, unstructured data * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers and business stakeholders * Interest in staying updated with cloud and AI/ML technologies and evaluating new tools Key requirements * Medical, Dental, and Vision * 401(k) with pre-tax and Roth options * Life Insurance and AD&D * Disability benefits * HSA * Transportation benefits
