The Senior Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst analyzes work process design and flow, improves processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The Senior HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for CGI and its software interfaces and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports Human Resources Management Software (HRMS) upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned., (Note: These are intended only as illustrations of the various type of work performed. - Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.?
- Takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.?Uses these data to build project plans and ensure adherence to schedule and other specifications.?
- Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals.?
- Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
- Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintains HRMS system tables. Documents process and results.
- Provides production support, including researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge.
- Participates in user group meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be assigned to other county locations based upon operational needs.
- Attends work on a regular and consistent basis.
- Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances.
- Responds to emergency situations.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Graduation from high school and nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS configuration, HR data analysis, payroll data analysis, HRIS report configuration, or related field.
Or
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in HRIS configuration, HR data analysis, payroll data analysis, HRIS report configuration, or related field.
A comparable amount of related education, training and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirements.
Must possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire.
Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire and maintain thereafter.

- Must be able to relocate to other county locations based upon operational needs.

Ability to write reports, evaluations, summaries, letters, financial reports, procedures, and policies. Ability to perform advanced mathematical functions. Ability to speak publicly and extemporaneously; conversant in policies, techniques and procedures of discipline. Ability to analyze data and develop conclusions. Ability to identify and resolve problems.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities. Primarily sedentary work. Ability to talk, hear, and see. Visual acuity (peripheral vision, depth perception) necessary to operate a motorized vehicle and computer. Finger dexterity. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach. Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 15 pounds.
