Job description

  • Develop detailed guidance for cloud workloads that ensure compliance with Government security and regulatory

requirements such as NIST SP 800-53 security controls

  • Collaborate with cloud-focused teams across various organizations to design, test, and implement cloud workload security

configurations and solutions.

  • Facilitate the creation of procedures and cybersecurity guidance for migrations from legacy cloud environments or hardware

environments into AWS

  • Evaluate and research cloud services and make recommendations for security configurations of those services to ensure data

is appropriately protected.

  • Evaluate and research cloud security technologies and make recommendations for their use.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, * Customer facing skills to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation

  • Experience with cloud computing and virtualization platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn and shift in step with the latest cloud-computing, networking, and infrastructure management technologies.
  • Excellent communication, writing, problem solving, and architectural whiteboarding skills
  • Strong knowledge of application system and network architectures and associated security principles including protection of data at rest, in transit, and in

process.

  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions.

Desired Experience:

  • A commercial Cloud Certification at the Associate level, a specialty, or higher; AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are preferred
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework/Zero-Trust Implementation
  • Experience with security-focused AWS concepts and services including IAM (Identity Access Management), SCPs (Security Control Policies), AWS Key

Management Service, AWS Config, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and Inspector
