Technical Equipment Specialist

• Install and support production environment for assigned applications. This includes installation and relocation of devices, as required.
• Good understanding of Network Infrastructure and Terminology.
• Communicate with users regarding all aspects of assigned applications. This includes project status, schedules, issues, risks, training, maintenance, upgrades.
• Work with networking and server staff, as required, to provide proper end-user connectivity to the network, servers, and applications/systems.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on any device as requested by user.
• Assist with budget allocation, purchasing, and inventory support needed for projects.
• Assist with time estimates to complete tasks and track actual time spent.
• Create, Update, Follow and Maintain necessary documentation regarding application. This includes application outline, vendor contact information, process documentation, procedural documentation, meeting minutes, issue resolution
• Assist with and attend site walk-through and audits and project meetings, to ensure accurate project scope, user requirements, function specifications, equipment needs and compliance are met by proposed application/solution.
• Design and Execute test plans, test scenarios and resolves issues revealed during testing before implementation.
• Lead and/or participate in special projects.
• Help fellow Team Mates, to improve teamwork, knowledge, and customer service.
• Follow standards for devices, software and access, as approved and directed by the Senior Leadership; report any non-standard activities.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects within the scheduled deadlines.
• Take appropriate direction from Project Lead and/or Manager.

1. Must be able to differentiate IT Hardware - Router, Switches, Cat5 cables

3. Understanding of how to decommission routers and switches

• Manage internal allocation of internal IT equipment orders across multiple locations
• 1+ years of previous Inventory experience
• Expert in Excel
• Solid understanding of Networking equipment.
• Assertive personality and analytical thinking.
• Experience in IT Buying/Purchasing is a plus!, * Basic Networking
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook,Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Skype, Office 365 Suite)
• Proficient Excel Skills
• Demonstrates effective trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
