Infrastructure & Systems Admin

A client of Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to support a highly technical engineering organization. This individual will serve as a key resource across systems administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and automation while partnering closely with engineers and developers in a fast-paced product development environment.

This is not a traditional help desk role. The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing scalable solutions that improve reliability and efficiency. Success in this role requires the ability to work across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments while supporting cloud-based infrastructure, development tooling, and automation initiatives., * Strong systems administration experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments

• Experience provisioning, configuring, and automating deployment of systems and development environments
• Solid networking background including DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, subnets, security groups, and connectivity troubleshooting
• Hands-on cloud experience in AWS and/or Azure including IAM, VPCs, networking, compute resources, storage, load balancers, DNS, and security controls
• Strong Docker/containerization experience including building, maintaining, and optimizing container images
• Bash and/or PowerShell scripting experience for automation and infrastructure management
• Exceptional troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience supporting engineering, software development, or product development teams

Top priorities for this role: Troubleshooting, Windows/Linux administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, Docker/containerization, and automation.

• Kubernetes experience
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure automation initiatives
• Experience improving operational efficiency through process optimization and automation
• Exposure to 2FA infrastructure and advanced cloud security implementations
