SAP CATS Specialist

Insight Global is looking for a SAP CATS Techno-Functional Lead to support complex labor tracking and payroll processes within a manufacturing environment. This individual will spend the majority of their time configuring and enhancing SAP Cross Application Time Sheets (CATS), developing custom business logic, supporting payroll and time management integrations, and partnering with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to implement labor-related requirements. The consultant will configure CATS profiles, data entry screens, validations, approval workflows, and custom enhancements while troubleshooting payroll and time-reporting issues. As a secondary responsibility, this individual will serve as backup to the SAP Technical Lead, helping provide continuity across BASIS operations, development oversight, transport management, and technical governance activities when needed.

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP CATS configuration and development experience
• Strong SAP Time Management (PT) and Payroll (PY) integration experience
• Experience developing custom CATS enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, and ABAP
• Experience supporting complex labor rules, overtime calculations, shift differentials, and payroll integrations
• Manufacturing and/or union labor environment experience
• Ability to gather business requirements from HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders and translate into SAP solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience related to time entry, approvals, and payroll discrepancies
• Comfortable providing technical leadership and support across SAP development teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Aerospace or defense industry experience
• SAP BASIS knowledge (transport management, system monitoring, client administration)
• Experience participating in governance boards, change control, or technical review processes
• Previous Technical Lead or Lead Developer experience
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP environments
