Platform Reliability Engineer, Associate - Aladdin

As an AI Platform Reliability Engineer, you will help define the future of AI-enabled platform operations within Aladdin. You will design and operate highly reliable services, develop intelligent automation, and build AI-assisted capabilities that make complex systems easier to manage and support. Working at the intersection of platform engineering, secrets management, observability, and applied artificial intelligence, you will deliver solutions that reduce operational overhead,improvesystemresilience,accelerateincidentresponse,andempowerengineerswithfasteraccesstoknowledgeandinsights.Yourworkwilldirectlyinfluenceplatformreliabilityandtheengineeringexperienceacrossabroadtechnologylandscape.

YourResponsibilities

IneveryroleatBlackRock,you’llbeexpectedtoapplysoundjudgementandcriticalthinkingtosolvecomplexproblems,adaptasthebusinessevolves,andembracethecuriositytoexplorenewapproachesandtechnologieswhilechallengingoutcomes.Thescopeofthisrolealsoincludesthefollowingresponsibilities:

• Design,build,andoperatereliableplatformservicesthroughautomation,infrastructure-as-code,continuousdeliverypractices,Python-basedworkflowautomation,andsecuresecrets-managementlifecyclecapabilities.
• DevelopandoperateAI-assistedplatformcapabilities,includingretrieval-augmentedknowledgesolutions,operationaldiagnostics,engineerself-serviceexperiences,andthesupportingdataingestionandretrievalpipelines.
• Monitorandanalyzesystemhealth,performance,andcapacityusingobservabilitytoolsandperformroot-causeanalysisforplatformincidents.
• Participateinon-callrotationssupportingproductionsystemsanddrivecontinuousimprovementthroughautomationandAI-drivenreductionofoperationaltoil.
• Supportdisasterrecoveryplanningandexecution,applicationonboarding,platformupgrades,andchangemanagementforservicesusingcentralizedsecretsandsecureconfigurationcapabilities.
• EnsureautomationandAI-enabledsolutionsaresecure,explainable,production-ready,andalignedwithenterpriseandregulated-environmentrequirements.

• 4+ years of Hands-onexperiencewithinfrastructure-as-codeandconfiguration-as-codepractices.
• Experienceusingmonitoring,observability,andoperationalanalyticstools.
• FoundationalunderstandingofArtificialIntelligence(AI)andmachinelearningconcepts,particularlywithinautomation,observability,ordeveloperproductivitydomains.
• Experience working with Linux-based environments, enterprise-grade container orchestration platforms supporting declarative infrastructure and horizontal scaling, retrieval-augmented generation solutions,vectordatabases,AIassistantframeworks,high-availabilityarchitectures,orlarge-scaletechnologyenvironments.

For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$138,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
