Job description

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ADAS features, focusing on system performance under degradation conditions.
  • Automate testing processes using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and Jenkins to streamline validation workflows across multiple platforms including Android and iOS.
  • Conduct system testing, functional testing, load testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing to verify feature integrity.
  • Perform root cause analysis on test failures or system issues, collaborating with software development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Integrate test automation frameworks within DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices using tools like GitLab, TFS, and Maven.
  • Analyze data from tests utilizing SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and other database tools to identify degradation patterns or anomalies in ADAS features.
  • Support release management activities by validating software updates through rigorous testing cycles aligned with SDLC standards.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Vehicle Test Engineer specializing in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) feature degradation. In this role, we lead the testing and validation processes to ensure the robustness and reliability of ADAS functionalities under various degradation scenarios. Our expertise drives continuous improvement in vehicle safety systems, supporting the development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive innovation, contributing to safer and smarter vehicles worldwide. We offer pay of £30.00-£40.00 per hour, free parking, life insurance, an on-site gym, and on-site parking. The role is based in person in the United Kingdom.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software testing methodologies including system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing within automotive or embedded systems environments.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools including Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, SVN, and TFS for automated build and test execution.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, or Python for developing test scripts and troubleshooting software issues.
  • Understanding of ADAS technologies such as sensors, APIs, RESTful services, web services (SOAP), and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux; experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis related to system performance metrics; ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical support roles; ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into detailed test cases.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields; certifications in software testing or automotive systems are advantageous.
  • 5 years of experience as a Vehicle Test Engineer in ADAS feature degradation is preferred.
  • Work authorisation for the United Kingdom is preferred.
