Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Manager, Google Cloud Platform, Enterprise Data & Analytics for a top utility and energy client. This candidate will lead the strategy, engineering, operations, and continuous evolution of a large-scale enterprise data platform built on Google Cloud. The ideal individual will bring deep expertise in BigQuery, cloud data architecture, platform operations, data governance, and AI/ML enablement while leading a team responsible for delivering highly reliable, secure, and scalable data services. This role will partner closely with Data Governance, Analytics, AI/ML, and Application teams to transform enterprise data strategy into production-ready solutions that support business intelligence, regulatory reporting, advanced analytics, and grid modernization initiatives. This is an outstanding opportunity for a data platform leader who enjoys combining technical depth, operational excellence, people leadership, and cloud innovation to drive enterprise-wide impact.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience leading enterprise data platform strategy, engineering, and operations on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Deep expertise with: BigQuery Vertex AI / Agent Platform Dataplex / Knowledge Catalog Other GCP analytics, AI/ML, and data services

Proven end-to-end ownership of enterprise data platforms including: Data ingestion Transformation Governance Performance management
- Hands-on experience managing BigQuery architecture in large-scale environments

Experience with: Capacity planning Performance tuning Cost optimization and cost management
- Ability to communicate platform health, risks, cost posture, and delivery status to executive and enterprise stakeholders
- Strong people leadership and team management experience
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid Driver’s License
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related technology field
- Experience building and operating secure data ingestion and intake services

- Experience designing and operating scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient enterprise data platforms
