Job description

The Technical Support Aide (Regular Education Paraprofessional)position works with teachers in support of technology needs. Position works with students to bring technology to the classroom via mobile computer carts. Duties could include but not limited to: assisting with setting up printers, troubleshooting, etc.

Performance Responsibilities include:

  • Support teacher and student use of computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Assist teachers in the preparation of instructional materials that support the use of technologies.
  • Assist teachers and student in the use of building-based and Internet technologies.
  • Assist individuals and small groups of students within classrooms and under the direction of the classroom teacher
  • Help teachers to select and use instructional software and technology applications.
  • Maintain software and applications for student use.
  • Set up multimedia equipment as needed for classroom and building use.
  • Provide support for students being assessed via technology under the direction of classroom teacher.
  • Provide technical support for building-based technologies and request support and repair as needed.
  • Provide A/V assistance for classroom and building events and performances.
  • Provide support for the replacement and organization of technologies and peripheral equipment.
  • Other duties assigned by the principal.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Bachelor’s degree - preferred
  • 1 year of technical support/help desk experience strongly preferred., * PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI - Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
