Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working close to the hardware and wants to contribute across the full development lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development through to integration, testing and validation.

You will work across embedded software, SoCs, evaluation boards and custom hardware platforms, collaborating closely with hardware and software teams to develop and integrate new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test embedded software for SoCs, evaluation boards and custom hardware platforms.
  • Develop drivers, middleware and applications to support proof-of-concept projects and system prototypes.
  • Integrate third-party SDKs and in-house software modules, supporting hardware/software co-design, integration and debugging.
  • Contribute to rapid prototyping and validation of new satellite communications and networking technologies.
  • Support board bring-up, software integration and troubleshooting across embedded platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful system integration.
  • Document software designs, integration approaches and development best practices.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 2-5+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • Strong programming experience with C/C++; Python experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with RTOS, embedded Linux, SoCs and FPGAs.
  • Experience with board bring-up, embedded drivers and hardware/software integration.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP and 3GPP 5G/6G.
  • Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
