Job description

We are looking for an experienced Security Operations Analyst to join a long-term cybersecurity programme supporting critical enterprise and government-facing environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with expertise in Cybersecurity Operations, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Threat Modelling to play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating cyber risks while enhancing the overall security posture of complex organisations. Working alongside Security Architects, Threat Intelligence teams, SOC analysts, engineers, and key stakeholders, you will help defend critical systems through intelligence-led security operations and proactive threat analysis., As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the cyber threat landscape, analysing security events, supporting threat modelling activities, and providing actionable intelligence to strengthen security controls and operational resilience. You will contribute to both strategic and operational cybersecurity initiatives, helping organisations anticipate, identify, and respond to evolving threats. This role is primarily remote, although candidates must be willing to attend client sites when required., * Monitor, analyse, and assess cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.

  • Support security operations activities through threat detection, investigation, and analysis.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret cyber threat intelligence from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Identify emerging threats, attack techniques, and threat actor behaviours.
  • Produce intelligence reports, threat assessments, and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct threat modelling exercises to identify potential attack vectors and security weaknesses.
  • Support security strategy initiatives by providing intelligence-led insights and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with security teams to improve detection, response, and mitigation capabilities.
  • Support incident investigations and provide intelligence to assist with response activities.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of security controls, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to communicate cyber risks and security recommendations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across security operations and threat management functions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Operations Analyst, Cyber Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, or similar cybersecurity role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and security operations.
  • Hands-on experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence analysis and reporting.
  • Experience conducting Threat Modelling exercises and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Understanding of common attack frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
  • Experience investigating security events and supporting incident response activities.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess cyber risks and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale or highly regulated environments.

Desirable Experience

  • Security Operations Centre (SOC) experience.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Exposure to vulnerability management and threat hunting activities.
  • Experience supporting government, defence, or public sector programmes.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience.
