IT Support Specialist

Project Hosts, Inc. based in Goldsboro, NC has openings for a Data Integrity/Backups Specialist. Compensation is based upon experience and by department.

Ideal candidates will have experience with some or all of the below technologies, * Provide technical support for on-premises and remote employees, and customers via Jira ticketing system and telephone, including email, Teams chat and/or remote access

• Meet SLAs to ensure timely issue resolution of tickets and follow-up with all clients
• Properly coordinate and escalate unresolved issues to other support tiers
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 11 and occasionally MacOS
• Diagnose and correct problems with computer software and hardware
• Assist with servicing, upgrading, and deploying computer systems and peripherals
• Create, update and document knowledgebase articles, procedures, and resolution steps
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Occasional weekend work and after hours are required

• 1+ years relevant IT or technical support experience
• Strong written, typing, and oral communication skills
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, IP configuration, VLAN, wireless, etc.)
• Be able to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment

Preferred experience:

• Experience with Windows 11, Windows Server 2025 and earlier and Active Directory.
• Cloud Administration (Microsoft Azure)
• Microsoft Group Policy and WSUS management.
• Virtualization software (Hyper-V)
• Linux experience
• Familiarity with JIRA helpdesk and/or Confluence or ticketing systems

Soft Skills: The most successful candidates will be self-motivated, great at customer engagement, have a knack for analytical problem-solving, be organized and good at following up/tracking issues, and possess the ability be able to proactively find and resolve issues without requiring others to monitor them or to assign specific tasks for them., * Azure: 1 year (Preferred)

• Customer support: 1 year (Required)
• Linux: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Jira: 1 year (Preferred)
