Job description
As an IT Security & Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure, modern, and globally scalable IT environment within our company. Your focus will be on Microsoft 365, cloud security, and information security: You will develop security strategies, protect sensitive research and patient data, and ensure that our M365 environment remains stable, compliant, and future-proof., * Technical responsibility for the operation, security, and continuous development of the entire Microsoft 365 environment (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Purview)
- Further development and optimization of Identity & Access Management as well as security and compliance concepts in the Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Design, security implementation, and operation of modern cloud platforms with a focus on Azure
- Implementation of security measures, monitoring, and analysis and resolution of security incidents
- Collaboration on strategic IT projects (e.g., cloud migrations, Modern Workplace Transformation)
- Participation in audits, as well as the creation and maintenance of documentation, including the review and validation of systems in the GxP environment to ensure compliance and data integrity
- Supporting the further development of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in an IT environment, ideally in a regulated environment (e.g., GxP / Pharma / Life Sciences), including more than 3 years of in-depth experience in the administration and security of Microsoft 365 environments
- Excellent knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Purview, and modern cloud security architectures
- Practical experience in the design and operation of cloud platforms
- A structured, well-documented, and audit-experienced approach to work
- High degree of personal responsibility, pragmatism, and a solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts in a user-friendly manner at all organizational levels
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English
