Software Developer

We are adding a Software Developer to our team. The ideal candidate will have a Computer Science degree or a degree in a related field. Have experience working with object-oriented programming languages (especially Java), understand web application development, especially working with a relational database (Oracle is currently in place), and have a working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL and PL/SQL)., Administrative

• Attend daily Stand Up.
• Provide activities and progress for required reporting.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Analysis, Design, Communications

• Understand and contextualize business requirements, develop information support strategies, and convey capabilities and limits to stakeholders based on business requirements and application architecture.
• Understand the integration of partner business system data sources that support one or more business application requirements.

User interface maintenance and development

• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization solutions adhering to DoD, USAF Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) policies as applicable to achieve standardized PKI-supported capabilities for digital signatures, encryption, and identification and authentication.
• Experience designing/developing web-based user interfaces for presentation of application features.
• Learn, understand, and document the Program Data and related business rules.
• Perform detail data analysis/testing as necessary for data design, troubleshooting, and data validation/verification/quality assessment.

Data entry forms maintenance and development

• Design/develop data entry forms to support data creation, retrieval, updating, and deletion/expiration.
• Work on solutions to mature data access and business logic layers.

Data warehouse Maintenance and Development

• Design/model/develop extensions/changes to data warehouse as required.

Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process maintenance and development

• Develop and maintain ETL processes and code.
• Formulate ETL strategies to deal with anomalous data in a manner where the impact on the business domain is understood.

Data product maintenance and development

• Design/develop reports, visualizations, dashboard, and other types of data products as required.

• Bachelor’s degree required: Computer Science, Math, Applied Math, Operations Research, Statistics, or related.
• Java and web technologies development in an Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) environment
• Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) processes/technologies
• User interface design/development
• Model View Controller (MVC) architecture (2+ years preferred)
• RESTful Web Services (2+ years preferred)
• SQL, Oracle PL/SQL is a plus
• Design/Development of reports and other business intelligence
• Excellent knowledge of the Information Technology field related to understanding various technologies and technology stacks with an emphasis on databases, reporting, and business intelligence, experience in research of solutions relative to this domain., * Bachelor’s (Required)
