Job description
Bureau Veritas is seeking a Salesforce Administrator to own the administration, integrity, governance, and ongoing optimization of Salesforce as a critical business and sales platform. This role will ensure the system delivers accurate, reliable data and reporting while supporting effective sales processes, user adoption, compliance, and business growth. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in office in our Ellicott City, MD headquarters.
The Salesforce Administrator will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and Bureau Veritas Global Salesforce, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and supporting the integration of the current Salesforce environment into the global platform. The role will also oversee data hygiene, reporting and dashboards, user administration, onboarding and training, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
This is an opportunity for a Salesforce professional to have meaningful ownership of the platform, improve how the organization uses its data, strengthen reporting and governance, and continuously identify ways to make Salesforce more efficient, scalable, and valuable to the business.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary Salesforce Administrator and business system owner, ensuring Salesforce effectively supports business processes, sales operations, reporting, and organizational objectives.
- Maintain Salesforce data integrity and hygiene through regular audits, duplicate management, data standards, quality controls, and issue resolution.
- Partner with Bureau Veritas Global Salesforce teams to align with enterprise standards, governance requirements, security practices, and system processes.
- Support the synchronization and eventual migration of the existing Salesforce environment into the Bureau Veritas global Salesforce instance, including data validation, testing, issue resolution, and change management.
- Administer users, roles, profiles, permission sets, security settings, and system configurations.
- Develop, maintain, validate, and distribute daily, monthly, and ad hoc sales reports and dashboards for leadership and Corporate Headquarters.
- Provide accurate visibility into sales activity, pipeline health, forecasting, performance metrics, and other key business indicators.
- Own Salesforce onboarding for new employees and provide ongoing user training, support, and guidance to promote adoption and consistent use of Salesforce.
- Troubleshoot Salesforce issues, respond to user questions, and coordinate with Global Salesforce or technical teams when escalation is required.
- Configure and optimize Salesforce functionality, including objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, record types, Flows, automation, lead assignment, opportunity management, and sales processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve business processes and the overall Salesforce user experience.
- Monitor data quality, system adoption, and platform performance and recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting, and scalability.
- Maintain documentation for Salesforce configurations, business processes, data standards, workflows, integrations, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate Salesforce releases and new capabilities and recommend solutions that improve productivity, automation, reporting, and user experience.
- Produce ad hoc reports, dashboards, data extracts, and analytical insights to support business and executive decision-making.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience supporting business users in a corporate environment.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201) certification required.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Lightning, Reports, Dashboards, Flow, Data Loader, user administration, security, and data management.
- Experience developing and maintaining reports and dashboards for sales or business leadership.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data governance, data quality, security, and CRM administration best practices.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into effective, scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to users with varying levels of Salesforce experience.
- Experience developing user training, onboarding materials, process documentation, or standard operating procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, enterprise implementations, or CRM migrations is highly desirable.
- Experience working with global Salesforce or enterprise CRM teams is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
