Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and ship high-quality web applications across the stack. You’ll work on backend services in Java/Spring Boot and modern front-end interfaces in React, collaborating with a distributed team to deliver scalable, reliable products. This is a remote role open to candidates across the US.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot

Build responsive, performant front-end interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript

Own features end to end - from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring

Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews

Collaborate with product, design, and QA to translate requirements into robust solutions

Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security

Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, designing efficient schemas and queries

Participate in CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps and deployment practices

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues

Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction

Requirements

5-7 years of professional full stack software development experience

Strong backend expertise in Java and Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST API design)

Strong front-end experience with React (Hooks, state management, component architecture) and JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS

Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient SQL

Experience with RESTful API design and integration

Proficiency with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows

Experience with automated testing (unit, integration)

Understanding of software engineering best practices - design patterns, clean code, security fundamentals

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Microservices architecture experience

Message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools
