AI Data Analyst

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data-driven technology, collaborating across teams to shape the future of intelligent systems., * Serve as the lead on-site analytical advisor for analytics, modeling, and simulation efforts within the GPN Program Office at the Pentagon.

• Coordinate and oversee the off-site junior/mid-level data team and support overall program and project execution.
• Facilitate technical discussions with CNA, CD&I, I&L, ONR, DIU, MSC, OPNAV, and other stakeholders concerning future GPN laydowns, technologies, modernization, and integration.
• Provide data-driven analysis and analytical recommendations supporting modernization strategy, investment, force posture, materiel positioning, readiness, availability, and POM-cycle planning.
• Maintain analytical inputs to the GPN Common Operating Picture and support preparation of the daily GPN Status Report for I&L leadership.
• Construct predictive simulation models using LOG IT system data to assess policy changes and operational scenarios affecting GPN throughput and asset distribution.
• Build and automate data pipelines and complex queries that extract, synthesize, validate, and transform multiple data sources into usable metrics, dashboards, reports, and model inputs.
• Apply DoW and USMC cybersecurity and data-governance requirements, including DoDI 8500.01, to analytical workflows and data products.
• Support monthly status reporting, transition-in planning, meeting agendas and presentation materials, meeting minutes, action-item tracking, knowledge transfer, training modules, and capacity-building activities
• Support Program Manager reporting and primary point of contact to the COR; Work with the corporate PM for contract administration. Estimated travel is four GPN planning conferences annually, one per quarter, to Norfolk, VA; Albany, GA; Jacksonville, FL; and another East Coast CONUS location as directed.
• Primary deliverables supported include monthly status reports; a transition-in plan; meeting materials and minutes; a capacity-building and transition plan; daily GPN status reports; predictive simulation models; and monthly/as-scheduled data extraction and transformation metrics.

• 8+ years of related professional experience.
• Expertise developing algorithms, creating user interfaces, synthesizing data, and producing visualizations using Python or R; strong SQL capability is also required for data extraction and query automation.
• Proven experience applying AI/ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, to develop predictive models, analyze complex datasets, and recommend optimal solutions.
• Experience with high-resolution modeling and simulation software, such as ExtendSim, and simulation-optimization tools, such as OptDef.
• Familiarity with the capture and use of data from DoD logistics systems, such as TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC, including manipulation of these sources for model input.
• Experience implementing data standards; constructing datasets; monitoring data quality; and troubleshooting database or data-integrity issues.
• Proficiency with statistical methods, data modeling, data visualization/BI tools, dashboards, and production of analytical reports and data files.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, coordinate with Government and external stakeholders, brief senior leaders, and oversee junior/mid-level analysts.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Degree in data science, computer science, operations research, engineering, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or a related analytical discipline is preferred.
