Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AI Data Analyst to join our innovative team! In this role, you will harness the power of data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Your expertise will drive strategic decision-making, optimize processes, and support the development of advanced AI solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of data-driven technology, collaborating across teams to shape the future of intelligent systems., * Will establish data standards and deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, validate, and transform data from multiple sources into usable metrics.
- Will construct datasets, monitor data quality, and troubleshoot database issues to ensure data integrity using Python, R, SQL, data visualization and business intelligence tools, statistical methods, and data modeling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards.
- Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to the government team, applying quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, data engineering, and visualization to evaluate future concepts, optimize materiel positioning, and inform modernization and investment decisions.
- Establish repeatable analytical processes that transform logistics data into traceable, defensible decision-support products while maintaining data integrity and compliance with DoW cybersecurity and data-governance requirements.
- Complete discrete-event simulation, Monte Carlo analysis, sensitivity analysis, and design of experiments to evaluate logistics performance, risk, and tradeoffs in order to enable reproducible scenario analysis and clearly link model inputs, assumptions, and outputs to decisionmaker requirements.
- Develop configuration-controlled data pipelines, crosswalks, validation rules, dashboards, models, and supporting documentation.
- Establish the analytical foundation for the GPN Common Operating Picture (COP) by integrating equipment status, materiel readiness, logistics-system data, and asset
- availability from authoritative sources.
- Develop predictive simulation models using LOG IT and other authoritative logistics data. These models will evaluate policy alternatives, materiel-distribution strategies, transportation networks, future laydowns, and operational scenarios. Specifically: Data Quality and Gap Analysis: Identify missing, inconsistent, redundant, or delayed data; trace issues to their sources; and recommend prioritized corrective actions. Results will be documented in data-quality and gap-analysis reports.
- Advanced Analytics: Apply descriptive, predictive, forecasting, classification, simulation, and optimization methods to identify trends, anticipate bottlenecks, compare alternatives, and support scenario planning. Deliverables may include model documentation, analytical reports, and decision-support tools.
- Interactive Dashboards and Visualizations: Develop clear, intuitive dashboards with mission-focused metrics, filters, drill-down functions, historical comparisons, and customizable views. These products will improve operational awareness and support timely decisions.
- Cost Analysis: Use cost-benefit, Net Present Value, Return on Investment, scenario, and Monte Carlo methods to evaluate modernization investments, technical debt, and budget uncertainty. Results will quantify tradeoffs while preserving Government decision authority.
- Key Performance Indicators: In coordination with Government leads and stakeholders, define KPIs for readiness, cost efficiency, data quality, and modernization. KPIs will be incorporated into dashboards and compared with historical performance.
- We will support one to two significant predictive simulation models annually while retaining capacity for excursions and shorter-turn analyses. Each model will have an analytical plan defining the decision question, Government-approved scenario, data requirements, resolution, time horizon, assumptions, acceptance criteria, V&V activities, and schedule. Model fidelity will be adjustable.
- Senior AI Analyst will serve as the government’s primary analytical advisor and will coordinate with Headquarters Marine Corps, CD&I, I&L, CNA, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Will serve as our lead analyst and coordinator for this taskon site at government facilities and will oversee off-site support personnel.
- Must have eight years of related experience, including expertise in Python or R, AI/ML frameworks, predictive modeling, data visualization, advanced modeling and simulation tools, and DoD logistics data sources (for example: TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC).
- Experience supervising/leading teams of analysts.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Degree in data science, computer science, operations research, engineering, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or a related analytical discipline is preferred.
