Job description

KODA Technologies is seeking a Junior Hypersonic Flight Test Trajectory Analyst to support DOD-wide initiatives to rapidly mature and deliver critical hypersonic technologies., * Perform analysis that supports planning and execution of hypersonic vehicle flight testing.

  • Develop, configure, and execute scripts/tools that perform post-processing, analysis, and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of both simulated and flight test trajectory data against mission and range safety requirements.
  • Perform flight test trajectory reconstruction from multiple sources of data (telemetry, sensor, other) to produce a best-estimated-trajectory of the flight vehicle.
  • Develop, configure, and execute trajectory models and simulations, including end-to-end trajectory generation, Monte Carlo analysis, 6-DoF ballistic propagation, and other trajectory analysis.
  • Document and present analysis at program technical reviews and milestones

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (STEM) with 2-10 years’ experience
  • Ability to develop tools in MATLAB, Python, or C++ to perform technical analysis of trajectory data
  • Experience or educational background in missile flight dynamics, equations of motion, coordinate transformations, and general physics-based M&S
  • Excellent people, organization, and technical skills with the ability to plan and coordinate tasks in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with TAOS, POST, or similar trajectory simulation tools
  • Experience modeling and simulating hypersonic vehicles
  • Experience with aerodynamic modeling with Missile DATCOM and CFD tools
  • Experience with guidance, navigation, and controls
  • Understanding of Hypersonic missile flight and associated test challenges

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Clearance is required
