Software Engineer

• Work closely with customers to deeply understand their problems and design product experiences that solve real challenges.
• Build and scale backend infrastructure capable of handling thousands of concurrent AI phone calls per day.
• Craft intuitive front-end user experiences tailored to an AI-first product paradigm.
• Own high-stakes projects from initial concept through production launch and post-release support.
• Contribute to core architectural decisions alongside a senior, driven engineering team., * Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, React, TanStack, Node.js, Python
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Infrastructure & Tooling: Temporal.io, Twilio, Modal

Required:

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills - including complex queries, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Experience designing scalable backend architectures and making core product/architectural decisions.
• Hands-on experience with scalable async processing or real-time processing systems.
• Experience building products for AI-first or communications-enabled platforms.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and/or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to take a product from 0 to 1 and own it end-to-end.
• Strong collaboration instincts - comfortable translating customer problems into product decisions with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work on-site in Berlin, Germany (this is a dealbreaker requirement).

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Temporal.io, Twilio, or Modal.
• Prior experience at a startup or early-stage company.

• Salary: $75,000 - $160,000 USD annually (range reflects experience level)
