Sr. Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, build, and optimize storage services within Linux and Kubernetes, shaping how storage is exposed and managed in data-center and edge deployments. You will tackle cross-layer challenges spanning kernel, storage, and cluster orchestration, delivering high-reliability storage components. You will participate in architectural decisions to align storage with compute and networking, in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. This opportunity lets you influence core storage foundations in a growing, cloud-native product. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build and maintain storage services and their integration into Kubernetes (CSI drivers, storage orchestration, provisioning, and data-path components) * Work within the Linux Storage stack: block layer filesystems, and drive and target that expose storage to clients * Debug complex multi-layer issues spanning kernel, storage, drivers, cluster orchestration, networking for root-cause analysis * Harden, package, and ship storage and other components as part of the Kubernetes-based product, including performance analysis and failure-mode testing * Contribute to architectural decisions on how storage, compute and networking fit together Tasks * Bachelor’s Degree in a related field * minimum of 8 years of related experience * deep hands-on expertise in at least two of the three core areas (Linux, Kubernetes, Storage) * kernel-level depth in Linux, kernel modules and debugging * experience with CSI drivers and Kubernetes internals * software development skills in C or Go Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * possible restricted stock units and discretionary bonus program
