Job description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Application Engineer (Windows/.NET Cloud Migration) to support the migration and modernization of enterprise applications into AWS. This individual will partner with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to migrate legacy Windows-based applications, optimize cloud environments, and improve scalability, security, and reliability across a complex enterprise ecosystem., * Lead the migration of Windows/.NET applications from a legacy hosting environment into AWS.

Assess existing application architecture and recommend migration and modernization strategies.
Configure and administer Windows Server and IIS environments within AWS.
Deploy and support workloads using AWS services including EC2, ECS/Fargate, and S3.
Containerize applications using Docker where appropriate.
Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
Partner closely with architects, DevOps engineers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and application developers.
Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and production deployments.
Develop technical documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong Microsoft development experience with cloud migration expertise and enjoys solving complex technical challenges across both application and infrastructure layers., * 5+ years of experience developing or supporting enterprise .NET applications.

Strong experience with:
C#
.NET Framework *
Experience administering:
Windows Server
IIS
Hands-on AWS experience including:
EC2
ECS/Fargate
S3
Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies.
Experience troubleshooting enterprise applications and distributed systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

Experience migrating applications from Rackspace or other legacy hosting providers.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
AWS Certifications.
Experience working in highly regulated or secure enterprise environments.
