Job description

Green System Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that supports business-critical applications and services. The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud environments., * Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across enterprise environments.

  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Monitor cloud resources to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Configure and manage cloud networking, storage, compute, and security services.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to deploy and maintain cloud-native applications.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application performance issues.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Optimize cloud resources to improve performance and control operational costs.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and identity management.
  • Experience supporting Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile or DevOps environments., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar cloud certification.
  • Experience designing multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration and microservices architecture.
  • Experience supporting compliance frameworks and security best practices.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time
