Job description

We’re seeking an energetic Licensed Lead Therapist who is passionate about helping others, and excited to work in a dynamic, supportive clinical environment with kids in need. This is an amazing opportunity for a therapist with a strong clinical background to lead a small team of amazing clinicians.

You’ll provide group, individual, and family therapy; collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team; and contribute to shaping an environment that blends clinical excellence with genuine compassion.

You will lead a team of therapists to ensure consistent quality of care for our patients.

You will provide clinical supervision to associate and practicum therapists.

You will run PHP groups in addition to providing individual sessions, parent collateral, and assistance with intakes and discharges. Some outreach or marketing tasks as needed.

Schedule is 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches.
  • Provide required BBS and clinical supervision of associate and practicum therapists.
  • Assess and approve/deny potential patients for clinical appropriateness in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Conduct some patient intakes and discharges.
  • Review and approve clinical documentation.
  • Lead a team of therapists to ensure consistent quality of care.
  • Interact with parents of clients.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document client progress accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team of clinicians and leadership to ensure integrated, client-centered care.
  • Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and therapeutic support during periods of emotional distress.
  • Participate in case consultations and clinical meetings to share insights and support team learning.
  • As part of a team, collaborate to develop and improve group curriculum.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Required:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
  • Active California license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist).
  • Ability to provide BBS required supervision to AMFT and practicum therapists.
  • 2+ years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Love working with teens and adolescents!
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including CBT and DBT.
  • Compassionate, professional, and collaborative approach to client care and parent support.

Preferred:

  • Experience in adolescent intensive outpatient (IOP/PHP) or residential behavioral health settings.
  • Experience running IOP and PHP adolescent groups.
  • Comfort using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
