Job description

The selected candidate will design, develop, and maintain firmware for WiFi 6/6E/7 residential gateway/router platforms deployed at large scale. The role requires deep technical expertise, architecture-level thinking, leadership capabilities, and collaboration across firmware, cloud, test, and vendor teams., * OpenSync, OVSDB, Plume Cloud

  • Open vSwitch (OVS)
  • QCA NSS/PPE hardware acceleration
  • FRR/Quagga routing frameworks
  • IPSec and GRE tunneling
  • DOCSIS/CPE/Broadband ISP platforms
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Fleet-scale firmware deployment and rollback strategies
  • Regulatory certification exposure (FCC/WiFi Alliance)
  • Offshore team coordination experience

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Embedded Linux development using C/C++
  • OpenWrt development including packages, feeds, Kconfig, and patch management
  • Linux kernel networking stack
  • TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, MAP-T, routing protocols (RIPv2, OSPF)
  • WiFi 6/6E/7 (802.11ax/be) technologies
  • Qualcomm IPQ and/or Broadcom platforms
  • Device tree, kernel modules, board bring-up
  • Advanced troubleshooting of kernel panics, watchdogs, memory leaks, and performance issues
  • Python and Shell scripting
  • Technical leadership and mentoring experience
  • Strong Git/GitLab workflow knowledge
