Job description
The Technical Support Specialist role is critical to addressing day-to-day technical questions and issues with dealers and end users. Put your knowledge of equipment repair to use every day with the #1 goal of always keeping our customers’ machines running. This dynamic role interacts closely with our Parts, Sales, and Warehouse teams to deliver best-in-class service and support., * Assist dealers, sales, and parts departments with technical questions.
- Assist end users and customers with technical questions when the dealer cannot provide answers.
- Attend training classes that pertain to solving technical issues.
- Complete daily service call sheets for each phone call taken, documenting technical problems and the solutions that resolved them.
- Initiate follow-up emails to dealer management describing phone discussions between technicians and the recommendations offered.
- Demonstrate consistent follow-up with every discussion.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism during every contact with dealers and internal customers.
- Be available on call as required., * Professional office setting with frequent interaction among employees, customers, vendors, and management.
- Primarily sedentary work performed at a desk using a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands.
- Frequent communication through phone calls, video conferences, email, and in-person discussions.
- Collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- May require occasional visits to warehouse, manufacturing, or operational areas as business needs dictate, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Requirements
- Trained in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics and circuits.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and remedy situations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and monitor for prolonged periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to move about the office and attend meetings.
- Physical demands include scaling, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Some travel required.
