Job description

  • The Georgia Department of Corrections is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support for our staff and office technology, including audiovisual (AV) systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, collaborating with colleagues, and keeping systems running smoothly in a fast-paced office environment

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS support?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High school diploma/GED and six (6) months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support, or application development and training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area. Preferred Qualification:

  • Minimum of 1 year of directly related experience in AV environments.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MacOS environments, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Hand on experience with video, conferencing platforms and live streaming software (e.g., Zoom, Teams, projectors, sound systems.)
  • Familiarity with Crestron of other similar AV control Systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively in an on site setting.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work flexible hours.
