Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Manufacturing Applications Architect for INFICON FPS (Factory Productivity Suite) and Smart factory Solutions who will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing digital manufacturing systems centered around INFICON’s Factory Digital Twin technology. This role will lead architectural design for highly scalable, data-driven smart factory ecosystems used within semiconductor manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate collaborates closely with Operations, Engineering, IT, and MES stakeholders to deliver end-to-end architectures that leverage real-time data, advanced analytics, and optimization engines that enable industry-leading cycle-time reduction, throughput improvements, and predictive operational insights., * Serve as the technical architect and subject-matter expert for INFICON FPS Digital Twin for developing a Smart factory to visualize and simulate the real-time factory conditions.
- Drive ETL architecture and execution from MES (PROMIS) and equipment management systems (like XSite) and manufacturing databases into the FPS Data Warehouse, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and performance.
- Support application upgrades, system performance tuning and resolve complex issues.
- Provide hands-on expertise in implementing configuring and supporting the PROMIS Manufacturing Execution System MES within a semiconductor fabrication facility.
- Act as a trusted technical partner to IT stakeholders, Manufacturing Operations Managers, Engineers, and Equipment Engineers.
- Drive automation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across manufacturing systems and reporting platforms.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing systems, factory automations, with senior architect and technical responsibility.
- Proven hands-on experience with INFICON FPS Digital Twin, factory scheduling systems, and manufacturing reporting platforms.
- Strong expertise in ETL and data integration from MES, XSite and other manufacturing databases into data warehouses.
- Deep expertise in PROMIS MES implementation, including flows, steps, branching, routing logic, and configuration of system parameters, workflows, and user interfaces.
- Experience supporting equipment maintenance management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues in high-availability fab environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in database management and SQL
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, production-critical environment with shifting priorities.
- Highly motivated, self-driven, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, automation, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Pay Range Explained: This role in Seattle, Washington pays between $155,900.00 and $204,645.00 per year, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations. We offer a full benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), and paid time off. You’ll also be eligible for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and flexible spending or savings accounts.
