Job description
Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is seeking a Power Platform SME/Architect to support the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) in Dahlgren, Virginia. This is an onsite position requiring an active TS/SCI security clearance.
The Power Platform SME/Architect will provide advanced technical expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform suite, translating mission and business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions. The position will design, develop, deploy, document, and support custom applications, automated workflows, and data-driven dashboards that modernize business processes and enable data-informed decision-making in a secure Department of Defense environment. Responsibilities:
The following are the duties and responsibilities of this position:
- Serve as a senior technical advisor and subject matter expert for Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and related Power Platform capabilities.
- Bridge mission requirements and technical execution by conducting requirements-gathering sessions, analyzing user needs, evaluating solution options, and recommending secure and supportable architectures.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps tailored to mission needs, including logistics tracking and personnel readiness applications.
- Connect applications to authorized data sources, including Dataverse, and implement complex business logic using Power Fx.
- Create, manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize complex cloud and desktop flows in Power Automate.
- Automate repetitive tasks, integrate disparate systems, implement robust error handling, and apply robotic process automation techniques to support legacy-system integration.
- Develop advanced data models and write complex DAX queries for Power BI.
- Create secure, high-performance dashboards and reports that connect multiple data sources and provide leadership with unified views of key performance indicators.
- Apply sound solution architecture, security, governance, configuration management, testing, deployment, and sustainment practices across the Power Platform lifecycle.
- Prepare solution design documents and other technical deliverables in accordance with approved project schedules and security requirements.
- Develop and deliver standard operating procedures, user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and other documentation for custom applications, workflows, and dashboards.
- Conduct comprehensive training for designated government officials, including citizen developers and system administrators, on Power Platform capabilities, solution use, administration, and best practices.
- Prepare training materials and deliver briefings, including quarterly updates, to government stakeholders and leadership.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, resolve or mitigate flow failures, and recommend improvements that enhance solution reliability and user experience.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, technical teams, security personnel, and other project participants to plan deployments and ensure solutions are delivered on schedule.
- Maintain awareness of applicable DoD cybersecurity, information assurance, accessibility, records-management, and configuration-management requirements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated advanced-level experience architecting, developing, deploying, and sustaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions in an enterprise or government environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven applications; Power Automate cloud and desktop flows; Power BI; Dataverse; Power Fx; and DAX.
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with authorized enterprise data sources and disparate systems.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, high-performance solutions in a controlled or secure environment.
- Experience developing technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, troubleshooting materials, training content, and leadership briefings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities in a mission-focused environment.
- Department of Defense or federal government experience is highly desirable.
Special Knowledge Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification (PL-600) is required.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), and Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certifications are highly preferred.
- Must meet applicable DoD 8140 cyberspace workforce requirements based on assigned duties.
