Job description
The Security Specialist is a front-line operator responsible for real-time monitoring, incident detection, and coordinated response across T-Mobile’s enterprise security environment. Operating under the direction of the Manager, Enterprise Security Operations, Specialists execute established procedures with accuracy and urgency in a 24/7 security operations center protecting T-Mobile’s people, facilities, and assets., * Monitor access control, video management, alarm, and mass notification systems in real time; detect, classify, and triage incoming alerts across all electronic security systems.
- Implement established notification procedures for workplace violence, emergency events, access control incidents, and field security requests per ESOC SOPs and escalation matrices.
- Document all incidents, events, and service interactions accurately in ServiceNow, including timeline entries, involved parties, actions taken, and disposition.
- Process access control requests and field requests for CCTV and other security equipment; verify authorization prior to credential issuance or modification.
- Provide enterprise-wide security support via phone and the ESOC inbox; triage requests and escalate items exceeding defined scope or urgency thresholds.
- Support Asset Protection efforts at retail locations; coordinate notifications and documentation per established retail incident procedures.
- Apply correct escalation criteria to distinguish shift-level incidents from those requiring leadership notification.
- Use AI-assisted documentation tools and workflow automation resources to support accurate, timely incident records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year in a security operations center, emergency communications center, call center, or comparable 24/7 environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce accurate notifications and shift documentation under time pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Ability to work rotating Day, Swing, and Night shifts including weekends and holidays
- Sustained attention across multiple concurrent data streams
- Consistent SOP adherence across every shift and incident type
- Clear, direct written and verbal output under time pressure
- Rapid, accurate execution within defined authority with timely escalation
- Follow-through on documentation and shift obligations regardless of workload
- Active receptiveness to feedback with demonstrated ability to incorporate direction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise access control, video management, or alarm management systems
- Experience with ServiceNow or comparable case management platforms
- Background in corporate security operations, emergency management, U.S. military service, or law enforcement

- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
