Job description

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SMTS) to join the Commerce Cloud Visibility Team. The team is responsible for providing internal and external facing visibility, extensibility and applied observability to help customers prioritize and solve high impact system health issues resulting in reduced storefront downtime and increased revenue growth. The team maintains full-stack ownership of the observability platform that powers Commerce Cloud monitoring, including all telemetry services (logs, metrics, events, alerts, traces) and the underlying public cloud infrastructure., * Deliver on full life cycle software components for our mission critical, enterprise SaaS web applications

  • Support our commitment to continuous integration, unit tests, and functional automation
  • Lead the team in definition of sub-component requirements and accurately forecast project effort
  • Provide attention to detail and a commitment to delivery of high-quality, stable deliverables
  • Work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multi-cultural, development and testing team
  • Continually evangelize Scrum and an Agile development processes
  • Be self-motivated; driven to achieve and exceed committed milestones
  • Display strong collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored
  • Desire to work in a growing, fast-paced environment of innovation

Requirements

  • Strong backend development experience using Java, Golang, and/or Python
  • Experience deploying production code to cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Experience designing and implementing observability solutions for distributed systems
  • Production experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD (Spinnaker, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
  • Prior experience developing API’s or REST services
  • Experience w/ build tools (Helm, Terraform, Maven, Gradle)
  • Core database(SQL/NOSQL) skills including ability to execute and debug complex queries
  • Ability to share and collaborate with peers via presentations and written technical documentation
  • Experience developing SaaS applications
  • Familiarity with Scrum in an Agile Development environment

Education & Experience: BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent, * Good understanding of DevOps Concepts and best practices - e.g. ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks

  • Experience troubleshooting full service stack, end-to-end ownership
  • Prior experience working with Spring Framework

The typical base salary range for this position is $148,500 - $223,900 annually.
