Sr. Power BI Developer, finance, hybrid, AI

We have been retained by our client in Fort Worth, Texas who is seeking to hire a skilled Senior Power BI Developer on a regular full time, direct hire basis. This is an excellent employer with long-standing employees. We require a candidate with some accounting domain or some financial business domain experience, and the ability to work onsite, Hybrid, with 1 (one) day a week remote work, 4 (four) days a week onsite very nice Ft Worth offices. As a Power BI Developer , you will be responsible for creating impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI, with a focus on financial business domains. There will be a good bit of AI with Claude in the future. The ideal candidate will have expertise in accounting and/or finance, Power BI dashboards, DAX, data aggregation , SQL Server, TSQL we prefer a little experience in C# .NET for creating small asp.net core web application to display financial data, however C# is not a required skill, but it sure can help.

Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Over All Experience must be 6+ years with a bachelors degree. Bachelors is a big plus.

• Have at least 3-4+ years of Power BI work experience

• Be very proficient with DAX and Power Query M language

• Be very proficient in SQL including aggregations and temporary tables

• Have excellent spoken English

• Be very comfortable with computers and IT, including Microsoft office software

• Possess good problem solving, time management and organizational skills

• We prefer a candidate with Microsoft certification in Power BI or dashboard experience, and finance domain experience is a big plus, but some accounting domain experience is sufficient.

• Have a basic understanding of basic accounting principles and Power BI experience can work well for this role. Experience creating Dashboards in Power BI for financial business domains is a big plus. By the third dashboard, you might be able to single handedly elicit requirements from a financial analyst and produce a Power BI dashboard for the next customer program.

This is the financial business domain, therefore some financial business domain knowledge or experience is required.

If the aforementioned above sounds like a fit, another plus is any AI experience, say Claude, or connecting Claude or another AI LLM to a data set.
