Job description

  • Full Stack Development: Design, build, test, and maintain scalable applications. You’ll craft robust backends with Java, MuleSoft/IBM App Connect Enterprise, and Spring Boot, and create intuitive frontends with Vue.js and other JavaScript frameworks. Front-end work is currently a smaller portion of the role - candidates with front-end aptitude and interest are especially encouraged to grow this area.
  • Data Mastery: Work with relational databases (e.g., SQL UDB), write optimized queries, and ensure seamless data flow that meets real business needs.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with strategic business units and operational teams across the enterprise to design integration patterns for both event-driven and legacy data as part of the Finance Agile Release Train (SAFe), including daily standups.
  • Continuous Innovation: Bring curiosity and learning agility-leverage AI tools to drive innovation, including the team’s AI-searchable knowledge base of transcribed mainframe SME training sessions used for production support.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech Stack: Work with containerized applications using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), Java, Spring Boot, Groovy, JavaScript, Vue, MuleSoft, and more. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and innovate with the latest tools and frameworks.
  • Culture of Collaboration: Work in a supportive, inclusive team that values continuous learning, mentorship, and professional growth. We believe in leveraging each other’s strengths to solve complex challenges together. This is a tight-knit, 10-person team (9 engineers + 1 project manager) known for jumping in to help one another - including on-call support.
  • Meaningful Impact: Your work will directly influence the modernization of our financial platforms, ensuring they’re robust, scalable, and ready for the future.

Requirements

  • Solid, hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
  • A creative problem-solver with a passion for technology and learning.
  • A collaborator who thrives in a team environment and values diverse perspectives.
  • Someone eager to influence meaningful technical changes and help shape the future of finance.
  • An engineer who enjoys working across modern and legacy systems.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment - no money moves in or out of the company without passing through this team.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with MuleSoft, IBM ACE
  • Experience with mainframe technologies (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2, batch processing)
  • Exposure to legacy system integration or modernization efforts
  • Ability to bridge modern platforms with existing enterprise systems
  • Basic familiarity with accounting/financial concepts (e.g., debits, credits, general ledger) is helpful but not required

We value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation. If your experience aligns with the listed requirements
