Backend Software Developer (Mid-Level)

We are looking for a passionate Backend Software Developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, investigating real-world customer scenarios, and building high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, eager to learn new technologies, and embraces AI-powered tools to enhance development, investigation, and problem-solving.

As part of the Management CFG team, you will investigate complex software issues reported from production environments, develop code fixes, and contribute to the stability, reliability, and evolution of Check Point’s Security Management platform. You will work closely with Technical Support, QA, and other R&D teams to deliver robust solutions that directly impact our customers.

Major Responsibilities

• Investigate complex customer-reported software issues from analysis through implementation and validation.
• Work with different backend technologies, primarily Java, alongside Spring, PostgreSQL, and also C++.
• Collaborate with Technical Support and cross-functional R&D teams to troubleshoot production issues and improve product quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, accelerate investigations, and enhance software quality.
• Willingness to provide customer support coverage during weekends, when needed, to help ensure continuous service across time zones.

• 3+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Java development skills (advantage).
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and relational databases such as PostgreSQL (advantage).
• Solid understanding of Linux environments, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software systems.
• Experience with software design, object-oriented programming, and clean coding practices.
• Familiarity with networking concepts or information security is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams.

• Curiosity, ownership, and a continuous learning mindset, including the effective use of AI-assisted development tools.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.
