Job description
Performing IT related assigned tasks at a client specific location in Lake Forest, IL PART-TIME.

Assist in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network equipment and servers.

Configure equipment and software to meet client business needs while following best practices, training client on the solution and documenting the solution for ongoing support.

Collaborate with senior IT staff on IT projects.

Help desk support via telephone, email and remote control for clients. This will mostly be performed remotely apart from local Lake Forest client in which applicant will be required to be on-site for part of the day.

Hands on experience in installing, troubleshooting and fixing desktops, printers, laptop and other computer peripherals hardware problems as well as desktop applications.

Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance from client via telephone, email and automatic ticket system.

Monitor systems for alerts and address as needed.

Escalate risks, challenges, and potential network issues promptly to avoid business interruptions.

Document, track and monitor technical issues to ensure timely resolution.

Analyze/troubleshoot desktop, application and network issues and forward to appropriate team member as necessary.

Creating and updating of documentation, asset management and any other network environment related documentation.

Additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with systems and networks using good deductive reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to multitask and work with various deadlines.
- Knowledge of network topologies, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with anti-malware and anti-virus software.
- Skilled in desk side support and PC break/fix including administration of Windows O/S.
- Ability to lift / move computer equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
