Job description
As a Sports Data Coordinator based in the River North area of Chicago, you’ll play a key role in live college sports coverage. You’ll monitor real-time data from Division I college basketball games, ensuring accuracy by comparing data collected by our in-venue Data Collectors with live broadcasts and official box scores.
This is a part-time, fast-paced role that’s perfect for sports enthusiasts who thrive under pressure and want a front-row seat to the action - all while gaining hands-on experience in the sports data and analytics field.
What You’ll Do
Step into the fast-paced world of live college sports and help power the data behind the game. As a Sports Data Coordinator, you will:
- Need to be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, aligning with the live game schedule - because sports don’t take days or evenings off.
- Monitor and validate real-time data coming in from college basketball games, ensuring the information is accurate and up to the second.
- Use our proprietary web tools to review and edit game lineups, scores, player stats, and event details both before, during, and after games.
- Report live stats as needed, helping ensure our clients get the most accurate updates as the action unfolds.
- Bring a strong focus on precision, speed, and data integrity to every shift - your accuracy helps fuel the wider sports ecosystem.
- Communicate and escalate issues quickly and professionally, staying calm under pressure while juggling multiple tasks.

Requirements
- Familiarity with college sports stats, rules and tracking tools.
- An understanding of best practices for live data collection and attention to detail.
- Comfort using Office 365 applications and VoIP communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Slack).
